About the event
Creating a space for our tamariki and opening the door to anyone willing to learn – welcome to our Cook Islands beginner kids summer dance workshop. This community-driven, beginner-friendly class is designed for children aged 5–14, offering a warm and inclusive environment where culture meets connection.
Whether your child is reconnecting with their roots or discovering Cook Islands dance for the very first time, this workshop brings a true piece of home to Australia. Our children will learn the basics through foundational drills accompanied by live drumming, giving them a genuine feel for traditional rhythm and movement.
